The Indian method of warfare required a high degree of consensus among those involved. Leaders had to earn their positions and could be replaced at any time if the warriors lost confidence in them. Even the actual war plans involved a high degree of deliberation by all participants. Here we see four warriors pausing to discuss their tactics before going into action.
